Description

-This early 18th century Aubusson tapestry in wool and silk shows Pâris and Aphrodite on the banks of a river.
-The borders are carefully composed and decorated with garlands of plants, birds and fruit. Spandrels are present in the upper corners, the lower border is missing.
-Beautiful harmony of colours in cameos of blues and greens.
-This tapestry is lined and a Velcro fastening system makes it easy to fix.
-There is some wear and restoration.
